In addition to improving your balance and increasing your flexibility, ball exercises can also help you strengthen your core muscles with Pilates exercises. While just sitting on the ball can improve your balance, using it during your exercises can make them even more effective.
Ball exercises are especially useful during pregnancy, allowing you to continue exercising by using the exercise ball to recline. At Pilates Northwest, our Pilates instructors use equipment like the Cadillac and reformer, as well as exercise balls, to serve our Seattle clients. Seattle Pilates Ball Exercises for Working Professionals
If you have to travel frequently for work, keeping up with a regular Pilates routine may be difficult for you. You can supplement your visits to our Seattle Pilates studio by taking a Pilates ball on the road with you and performing your exercises while away. While you won't receive the same attention and guidance that our Seattle trainers offer, you'll be able to do some of the exercises that you have learned and continue your training until you make it back home.
